THE ISLAND 2026

My recent residency on Bruny Island revealed a landscape that felt both expansive and intimate. The shifting weather, light and terrain struck me with quiet intensity. I was drawn to the piercing clarity of the atmosphere of Lutruwita/Tasmania for the way horizons dissolve, colours soften and re-emerge, and the vastness of the natural world captivated me. This environment aligns closely with my practice, which explores abstraction as a way of holding memory, sensation and place in flux.
